P5P6 Math: Value and Multiples and Differences

This is a question type that will provide 4 of the listed information below for 2 different items of different quantities,

  1. Total value of 2 items

  2. Difference between 2 item's totals

  3. Unit Difference between 2 items

  4. Multiples of 1 item compared with another

P5/P6 Math: Advance Assumption with 3 variables consisting of 1 accumulation and 2 deductions

In a former "Assumption Method" example shown here, the element of "deduction" is introduced and students will have to use a slightly different way to address the "deductions" when performing calculations using the "Assumption" method.

This question type below, requires students to be able to handle another variable and remove it from the total number of marks before using the "Assumption" method(with subtraction).

Such questions are now common in P5 SA2 Paper 2.

P5/P6 Math: Exchange until One Party becomes Zero

This question type requires students to work backwards to derive the initial number of both items at first.

A total of 2 different items are presented at first.
One of the items will be replaced with a multiple of the other item.
This is repeated until all of the items are now the same type.

Such questions are common in Paper 1 of P5 and P6 exam papers.

P5/P6 Math: Revisiting Value and Ratio Differences

This question is a variation of a tough P5/P6 Paper 2 high value question.

Only 4 information/numbers are given,

Namely

1) Total value of both items

2) Ratio between the quantity of both items

3) Individual value difference between both items

4) Total value difference between both items

Each blue box contains 6 less marbles than a red box.

P5 Math: Assumption (Advance)

This P5 version of "Assumption" method is different because there is a deduction of value.

This question usually appears in paper 1 for P5 mid-year SA1 or SA2.

P5/P6 Math: Value and Ratio and Differences

This is a common P5 SA2 and P6 Math question that is usually worth 4 marks or more.
Such questions will appear in Paper 2.

The ratio of pens to erasers was 9:2.
The total value of all the pens is $26.40 more than the total value of all the erasers.
