P6 Math: Percentage Increase and Decrease of 2 Values with Ending Ratio given

In the question type below, 2 values undergo percentage increase and decrease with one of the decrease value given. The resulting ratio is also given at the end.

Such questions are common in Paper 2 of P6 exams.

Wendy has a collection of stickers and ribbons.
She added more stickers to her collection and sold 2112 ribbons away.
This resulted in a 20% increase in her sticker collection and 
a 44% decrease in her ribbon collection.
The ratio of stickers to ribbons was 5:4 at the end.

How many stickers did she have in her collection at first?
